Bugge & Gjertsen’s in-house architectural and engineering department are available to supply all stages of the interior design from preliminary conceptual design to detailed design with complete engineering packages for construction purposes, whether as part of a turnkey project or as project support to the Shipyard, and both for passenger vessels and the offshore sector.
On each and every project our highly skilled design team make the transition from basic design to finished product a streamlined and efficient process. Where possible, our team works in close cooperation with the customer, the relevant Shipyard technical departments and customer’s architect to deliver exactly the interiors the customer envisaged. The multidisciplinary coordination of Bugge & Gjertsen’s architectural design and engineering department with the subsequent Shipyard engineering departments (HVAC, electrical, piping and steelwork) has become an integral part of our success. It is this specialist process that enables all technical issues to be resolved during the detailed engineering phase facilitating both procurement activities and material fabrication which in turn ensures a timely and efficient on-site installation, resulting in minimised man-hours and installation costs.
Our Engineers are involved in every step of the way, from basic to detailed design and also supervise the on-site installations to ensure maximum productivity according to the detailed construction drawings and work packages for each project.
It is this attention to detail that has produced award-winning interiors on our previous projects.
Our highly skilled architectural and engineering team members are also available as embedded engineers and project coordinators for site location at the Shipyards to offer additional project support as required.
Bugge & Gjertsen’s exceptional architectural and engineering department is at the forefront of the industry and are constantly breaking new ground with their approach.
